Marlous Pieëte (born 19 July 1989[1]) is a Dutch female international footballer. She plays as either a midfielder or a striker. She currently plays her club football for FC Twente and internationally for the Netherlands. She was born in Naarden.[2]
Pieëte began her career as a junior with VVOG, only leaving to join Be Quick '28 who were at the time playing at the highest level of women's football in the Netherlands.
She joined FC Twente in the 2007 close season as Twente were about to embark on the first season of the newly formed Women's Premier League. At the end of her first season with the club, she won a cup winners' medal.
Pieëte represented the Netherlands at Under-17 and Under-19 level. She made her debut for the Netherlands senior team on 5 March 2009 against Russia in the Cyprus Cup.[1] She was selected for the 2009 European Championships squad, playing three times and scoring in the semi-final as the Netherlands lost to England.[3]
